12 Nov Building community, one forkful at a time.
one forkful at a time.
Last fall, The Wade truly came to life when the first residents moved into their new homes. As a thank-you to everyone who is part of this vibrant community, Beacon Street hosted a virtual progressive dinner, centered around a cooking class led by Executive Chef Houston Loper, one of Raleigh’s most sought-after caterers.
The event began with door-to-door delivery of hors d’oeuvres. This was followed by the cooking demonstration in our model home, safely attended by people in the Beacon Street team bubble and live-streamed to residents down the hall as well as across the country. After the dinner hour, we topped things off with a rooftop gathering for coffee and dessert. All in all, residents enjoyed an evening of fine food, togetherness, and good spirits.
As we look back on a year none of us could have imagined, we’re heartened by the strong connections that have been forged at The Wade, and delighted by the creativity that makes communal events like this a success, even in such challenging times. Take a look for yourself.
